REVIEW: Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Lipstick in Sweet Devil Rouge

January 31, 2014

This may sound off topic but this is important. Strong wind and heavy rainfall are the signs that the new typhoon Basyang internationally known as Kajiki is already threatening the Philippines specifically some areas in Visayas and Mindanao, of which including where I resides. I can't sleep yet because of the terrifying wind outside. :( As of this writing, signal no.2 is issued already. I am praying that Basyang will not bring any harm and will be gone really soon. So, please keep safe and dry everyone!

Okay lovelies, before I get serious on my typhoon report, let's move on to my newest lipstick review. I have this Shu Uemura Sweet Devil Rouge lipstick for months already and this review has been resting on my list for a while now. I'm really bad I know. Forgive me pretty please? *wink*
I bought this Shu Uemura Sweet Devil Rouge lipstick in Singapore last November 2013. This is definitely the first branded and expensive lipstick I bought for myself. Lol! I got this for exactly $33 at Ion Orchard but I have no regret spending because it's all worth it. All I can say is I am in love with this lipstick and how I wish I have lots of money to buy all the adorable fresh reds in their collection!! Can somebody give me please? :D

Product Descriptions/Ingredients:

Directions on how to use:
Open the tube and gently glide this into the clean lips with 1-2 swipes. You may apply a lip balm first prior the application of a lipstick. That is what I always do to keep my lips moisturized but with this lipstick you may skip that lip balm part because there is something on it that moisturizes and nourishes your lips already.

Aside from the small box as seen on the picture, I got my product kept inside a cute white paper bag from the Shu Uemura store. Then, the lipstick is firmly packed in a transparent circular tube. The packaging is quite simple, but I am loving it's simplicity. It looks elegant for me. The tube is secured in the middle of the tube with a simple tick when you put the cover. There's actually a tiny circle in the middle which I guess serves the lock.

With all the shades available in the Sweet Red Collection, I opted for this sweet devil rouge. They have various shades but I like this most because of its sugary and sweet color. A touch of red that gives you a fresh, sweet, and cool look! It is just so me and I feel it's perfect for my skin color!

Above, I had it into 2 swipes and as you can see already the sweet red I am telling you. The quality of the picture may not totally justify what I am saying but it's definitely pretty. I feel so girly every time I wear this shade. Haha! <3

This is the whole length of the 3.2g 0.11oz lipstick. I am quite impressed also that there's no hole or defects on the lipstick. It is totally a good buy! Ah, I just can't stop saying that I love the shade. Do you like the shade too? :)

Sample look:
Sorry for the haggard look here. Haha! The quality of the picture is not that good though. Poor quality! :( But in personal, my lips is pretty sweet and refreshing. :)

Now, here's my final verdict:
  • Secured, travel-friendly packaging and not bulky size
  • Glides on the lips smoothly
  • Sweet scent and not overpowering
  • Moisturizes and nourishes the lips
  • Great quality of the product
  • Considerable staying power
  •  It is quite pricey, but personally it's worth it with the quality you can experience.
  • - ♥ (4.5/5)
I am satisfied with my purchase basing on the quality and I am in love with this lipstick really. It is just so refreshing and the shade is lovely!
  • Hmm, considering the price I am not really sure if I can but if given the chance and budget, why not? It is YES! But when that time will come, I will try the other shades available too. :)
Do you have the same lipstick as mine? What is your favorite shade from their Sweet Red Collection? Let me know! :)

A Blast of SINULOG 2014

January 25, 2014

"Santo Niño: Hope of the People"
Last weekend, the awesome and energetic people of Cebu City celebrated the most anticipated festival of the year, the SINULOG! It is annually celebrated  by many Cebuanos and tourists every 3rd of January. It is the time for lively street dancing and body painting, and the most important thing is the giving of tribute for Cebu's Sr. Santo Niño, the hope of people. I really had an amazing time celebrating it.

During Saturday afternoon, me and my frineds joined the procession and heard a mass in the evening. After the mass, I gracefully gave my moves for the Sinulog dance and I was able to witness the beautiful and long fireworks display. It really was fun despite of the long walk and no chairs to sit on. It was all worth it!

And on Sunday, this was the day where I have witnessed the Sinulog parade in the streets. I woke up early and left the house 9 o'clock in the morning to meet my friends. The parade has already started then and the streets were already packed with people. I mean, a lot of people!

Together with my friends, we happily danced with the beat of the happy songs and took pictures with the amazing dancers who wore their colorful costumes. Aren't these kids awesome? I love that golden and sparkling costumes of them.

We were wowed with those extravagant floats (I have no proper picture of my favorite float though :( ) and saw some local artists even. The people went crazy when they saw their favorite artists! Oh well, that includes me. I honestly screamed. Lol! #nojudging :P
Ogie Alcasid and Empress Schuck for the M Lhuillier float

The ABS-CBN (Kapamilya) float with Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Lim of the popular "Be Careful with My Heart". John Lloyd Cruz and Maja Salvador was also with them. They were on the other side though.

Featuring my DIY Sinulog shirt! My Basic Weave shirt. :D

It has been so tiring but the festivity still is awesome.People just got crazy dancing and partying 'till at night! It really was a BLAST!  I'm so looking forward for next year's celebration already. Woot woot!! Viva Pit  Senyor!

Let's Welcome 2014!

January 1, 2014

Best way to start the new year is to greet you all my lovely readers a HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Thank you for being with me and my humble blog reading all of the randomness and rants I shared here. 2013 is the year where I somehow officially joined the world of blogging and I am happy with it. I am now a year-old of being a trying hard fashion/beauty blogger I guess. LOL! I thank you 2013 for all the memories. And now, let's welcome 2014 with a warm heart, a heart full of love, joy, and peace. May this year will be as great as 2013 or even more. Hopefully more opportunities will come for my blog. :)

Last December 29, 2013, my friends and I were able to welcome also Rafaella Adriana Langerak to the Christian world. She is the lovely daughter of my college friend Haide. We were so happy to witness as she became a Roman Catholic. May she will grow as a happy and healthy kid, and may God will guide her always. I was thinking that the Christening is a formal event and we are going to the church, that's why for my outfit I opted to wear a decent ensemble. I have no dress to wear that day so I decided to wear something that will look like a dress. I wore my printed skirt and paired it with my stretchable long sleeved top from Cotton On which I bought during my trip to Singapore. I thought this is a perfect combination as to not to show too much skin since I am already wearing a skirt. To make it more formal and lady-like, I finished my look with my new black Gibi shoes and again I used my nude Taylor chain bag. Thanks to my special someone for giving me this new shoes. Finally, I have something that suits on my small feet very well. *laughs*

What do you think with my look? Does is look like a dress already?
Top: Cotton On | Skirt: SM Department Store | Shoes: Gibi | Bag: Mixmi | Necklace: Romwomen

Now, enough with my outfit post I'd love to share with you some of the photos during the event as well together with the celebrant and my friends. :)

Welcome to the Christian world pretty Baby Raffy! <3
I'd like you to meet my friends and the lovely mother Haide (lady in blue). I am happy to be with them again. :)
