A Blast of SINULOG 2014

"Santo Niño: Hope of the People"
Last weekend, the awesome and energetic people of Cebu City celebrated the most anticipated festival of the year, the SINULOG! It is annually celebrated  by many Cebuanos and tourists every 3rd of January. It is the time for lively street dancing and body painting, and the most important thing is the giving of tribute for Cebu's Sr. Santo Niño, the hope of people. I really had an amazing time celebrating it.

During Saturday afternoon, me and my frineds joined the procession and heard a mass in the evening. After the mass, I gracefully gave my moves for the Sinulog dance and I was able to witness the beautiful and long fireworks display. It really was fun despite of the long walk and no chairs to sit on. It was all worth it!

And on Sunday, this was the day where I have witnessed the Sinulog parade in the streets. I woke up early and left the house 9 o'clock in the morning to meet my friends. The parade has already started then and the streets were already packed with people. I mean, a lot of people!

Together with my friends, we happily danced with the beat of the happy songs and took pictures with the amazing dancers who wore their colorful costumes. Aren't these kids awesome? I love that golden and sparkling costumes of them.

We were wowed with those extravagant floats (I have no proper picture of my favorite float though :( ) and saw some local artists even. The people went crazy when they saw their favorite artists! Oh well, that includes me. I honestly screamed. Lol! #nojudging :P

Ogie Alcasid and Empress Schuck for the M Lhuillier float

The ABS-CBN (Kapamilya) float with Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Lim of the popular "Be Careful with My Heart". John Lloyd Cruz and Maja Salvador was also with them. They were on the other side though.

Featuring my DIY Sinulog shirt! My Basic Weave shirt. :D

It has been so tiring but the festivity still is awesome.People just got crazy dancing and partying 'till at night! It really was a BLAST!  I'm so looking forward for next year's celebration already. Woot woot!! Viva Pit  Senyor!
